The Truth About Sunday Minor is a fictionalized biography based on the true attempts of a South Texas girl to break away from a life of unrelenting abuse during an era when appearances were everything and all who knew turned a blind eye.
While the process of creating this work was personally therapeutic for the former foster child, and she hopes sharing her story will help others find courage to share their own, upon the completion of the novel, the real-life Sunday Minor wanted to find a tangible way to support children in crisis, as well.
Author H.R. Young-Lira believes it is highly likely the trajectory of Sunday’s life may have shifted for the better much sooner than it did, had she had access to a dedicated advocate like a CASA volunteer.
So, in honor of Sunday’s wish, BEGINNING MIDNIGHT FEB. 6, 2018, 30 percent of all pre-order proceeds will be donated to Texas CASA. At that time, you will be able to reserve your copy of the book via the link below!
