Texas CASA is excited to welcome Debbie Dugger to our Program Operations team as a Quality Assurance Specialist!
Debbie first joined the CASA movement when she was hired as the Executive Director for CASA of Liberty/Chambers Counties in October 2013. In addition to leading the Liberty-based program, she brings a wealth of nonprofit and volunteer experience to her new role at Texas CASA. She started the nonprofit program Friends in Deed to assist children with financial needs in 1998, and continued in a leadership role until 2004. She has also served as a board member of the Commission of Ministry for Episcopal Diocese of Texas since 2003, and volunteers at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in a variety of roles. She has received numerous awards during her career, including: Heroes for Children Award from Texas State Board of Education in 2003, Citizen of the Year for Liberty, Texas in 2016, Tanner Legacy Award 2004, Tanner Presidents’ Circle 2007, 2008, 2009, Tanner District Leader Maraval Winner in 2010 and 2011.
Debbie say she is proud to work for CASA because she knows the CASA advocate is essential to each case – they are a child’s chance in the foster care system. Texas CASA is pleased to welcome her to our team, and excited to see what she brings as we work to best serve the 71 CASA programs across the state!
