Symposium on Organizational Excellence in Austin April 9

The Texas Center for Child and Family Studies is hosting the first-ever Symposium on Organizational Excellence on April 9, an opportunity for agencies to come together to learn how to improve operations, policies and practices so that we can better provide for Texas’s most vulnerable children and families. The Center is a 501c3 subsidiary of the Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services (TACFS).

At the Symposium, the Texas Institute for Child & Family Well-being at the University of Texas at Austin’s Steve Hicks School of Social Work will first discuss the intersection between program evaluation and understanding/developing organizational strategy. Then, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services Division of Investigations and Child Protective Services Division are joining forces to discuss CPS Investigations and how steps taken during, and prior to, removal can dramatically impact permanency for our children.
