Seana Towler, Program Director of CASA of the Coastal Bend, and Catherine Dooley, Texas CASA CFE Coach.

Texas CASA Collaborative Family Engagement (CFE) Coach Catherine Dooley was recently honored by CASA of the Coastal Bend at their annual awards and volunteer recognition event. Catherine received the Special Recognition Award for her amazing and invaluable support of the local program’s CFE and PMC initiatives.

Catherine has been working with CASA of the Coastal Bend as their CFE Coach since November 2016, as they began their second year of involvement in CFE. She has supported them in a variety of ways during her time as their coach, including helping with trainings, meeting with judges, working with CPS, assisting with CFE events, using CFE tools, facilitating family meetings and doing consultations.

The program described Catherine as “always available, always helpful, and always such a joy to work with.”

Prior to working with Texas CASA, Catherine contracted with the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Texas developing and evaluating trainings for volunteers and family advocates. Catherine also served as a Victim Advocate at The Women’s Center of Tarrant County supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. In addition, she is a Licensed Master Social Worker and Trust-Based Relational Intervention Practitioner.

Congratulations Catherine – we are so glad you are a part of the Texas CASA team!
