Texas CASA is pleased to welcome Abe Louise Young as our Education and Training Executive Director. Abe Louise is a passionate advocate for youth who has designed learning ecosystems and curricula for nonprofit groups nationwide for the past 20 years. She is the author of numerous books and guides, including Texas CASA’s The Art of Coaching for Volunteer Retention and its animated e-learning series which will debut in Summer 2018.
Her approach to both in-person and online learning is student-centered and grounded in experiential activities, storytelling, social-emotional awareness and cultural competency. Abe Louise previously served as staff or consultant with the Texas Council on Family Violence, What Kids Can Do, Inc., Texas Jail Project, Breakthrough Collaborative and Prizer Arts and Letters. She holds degrees from Smith College, Northwestern University, and The University of Texas at Austin. She is delighted to lead a dynamic education team serving the CASA network!
