Coming Soon: Texas CASA Educational Advocacy Guidebook – Second Edition

Texas CASA is in the process of updating our Educational Advocacy Guidebook to reflect legislative and policy changes that have happened since its initial release in 2015 – the Second Edition will be available for CASA staff and volunteers to use in June.

The Educational Advocacy Guidebook is designed to provide CASA volunteers with the knowledge and tools needed to identify education-related challenges experienced by the children they serve and to advocate effectively to overcome them. It examines how the school and child welfare systems intersect and provides advocates with the information and tools to help them make a difference in their CASA child’s education.

A downloadable version of the Guidebook will be available when the Second Edition is officially released – so stay tuned! For now, you can learn more and browse the 2015 version on the Educational Advocacy Guidebook page in the Texas CASA Learning Center.
