In this installment of Conversations with CASA, Texas CASA CEO Vicki Spriggs sits down with Foster Youth Attorney Brandy Howard with Disability Rights Texas to discuss the organization’s legal work in supporting children and youth in the foster care system.
As a Foster Youth Attorney, Howard often serves as co-Attorney ad Litem and advocate for youth with disabilities in the areas of disability and education. Prior to joining Disability Rights Texas, she served as a Supervising Attorney for the Texas Advocacy Project and as a prosecutor in Williamson County. Additionally, Howard is a licensed foster parent, and served as a CASA in Harris County, Texas.
Conversations with CASA is a new series from Texas CASA that explores current issues and trends affecting child welfare, our children in care and our network.
