Video: My Voice Matters: The Value of Youth Voice in Court

Texas Network of Youth Services (TNOYS) has released a video called “My Voice Matters: The Value of Youth Voice in Court,” to help legal professionals understand the importance of youth voice and ways they can help ensure youth are heard in court proceedings that affect them. The video features interviews with foster youth and child welfare professionals, and explains:

  • the value of the youth voice,
  • the impact of youth not having a voice in court,
  • challenges and obstacles that can prevent youth from having their voice heard, and
  • guidance and resources to help overcome these challenges and ensure that youth are heard in court and other settings.
