Refurbished Computers Available to Youth Served by CASA

Has your local program taken advantage of Computers for CASA? Launched on Feb. 1, the Computers for CASA program gives CASA programs the ability to request Texas’ state agency surplus computers to distribute to CASA children and youth. This program was made possible thanks to our shared legislative advocacy efforts to pass Senate Bill 78, by Senator Jane Nelson, during the 85th Legislative Session.

We recently updated the Computers for CASA 101 training to make it even easier for programs to get started requesting computers for the youth they serve. Visit the Computers for CASA resource page to learn more about how your program can utilize this opportunity.

If your program has already utilized Computers for CASA, we want to hear about it! Please email publicpolicy@texascasa.org and let us know how the process has been working for you, your volunteers and the children you serve.
