Nurses At Medical Center Hospital Raise Money For CASA of the Permian Basin Area

CASA of the Permian Basin Area in Odessa recently received a generous donation of $8,278 from the nurses at Medical Center Hospital. The nurses choose a local nonprofit each year that they help raise money and awareness for, and this year, CASA was the special recipient. The Odessa program is thankful for the donation as it will go towards increasing advocacy for children and youth in foster care in the community.

The money was raised by each of the nursing units. With their personal funding and resources, they made gift baskets that they then raffled off in a silent auction to all of the Medical Center employees. The gift baskets included items like Texas Rangers baseball game tickets and Southwest Airlines gift cards.

Although, there is no prior history between the two parties they are both involved with the United Way, which is an international umbrella organization that hosts thousands of nonprofit organizations. CASA of the Permian Basin would like to thank the amazing nurses at Medical Center Hospital for their generosity!
