DFPS Volunteers Available to Work with Children & Families

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) has added some opportunities for volunteers to work directly with children and families. Volunteers can assist in the following ways:

 • help parents with transportation to classes, court hearings and/or appointments
 • sit with children who are in the hospital

If you believe that your CASA child’s family could benefit from a DFPS volunteer, please reach out to the child’s CPS caseworker to make the request.

Please visit VolunteerDFPS.org to learn more about volunteer opportunities with DFPS. If you have any questions, please contact DFPS at volunteer@dfps.state.tx.us, or by phone at (512) 438-4891. You can also download a contact list of CPS’ community engagement staff.
