The Senate Health and Human Services Committee will meet Wednesday, Sept. 12, at noon. The committee will be discussing several interim charges, including:
- Efforts intended to improve child safety, CPS workforce retention and capacity development in the foster care system; with recommendations to ensure high-needs children receive timely access to services in the least restrictive setting; and
- Endeavors to transfer case management of foster children and families to single-source continuum contractors (SSCCs), monitor the transition’s progress and make recommendations to ensure the process provides continuity of services for children and families and ongoing community engagement.
