Conversations with CASA – Richard LaVallo

In this episode of Conversations with CASA, Vicki Spriggs speaks with Richard LaVallo, the Legal Director for Disability Rights Texas in Austin. The two discuss the work of Disability Rights Texas and their legal work for children in the child protection system, as well as ways CASA can advocate for the healthcare of the children and youth we serve.

For more than 30 years, LaVallo has used his skills as a social worker and attorney to advocate for people with disabilities in a wide range of individual and systemic cases. He has also worked on legislative and public policy issues dealing with education, mental health, foster care, and juvenile justice.
