NCMEC: Free Spotlight on Exploitation Trainings in 3 Cities

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) – Texas Regional Office is hosting FREE Spotlight on Exploitation trainings in various cities to educate CASA volunteers, staff, board members and others involved with child welfare about the exploitation and trafficking of youth in foster care. Hear from experts with NCMEC, local law enforcement, service providers and youth formerly in care, and leave with knowledge and resources to address, combat and prevent the exploitation and trafficking of youth in the system.

The upcoming trainings are:

 • April 16, 2019 – Waco
 • June 13, 2019 – Lubbock
 • Sept. 12, 2019 – Amarillo

Seats for the trainings are limited. Click the button below to register for a training and/or see the schedule.

88 percent of NCMEC’s identified child sex trafficking victims are in foster care or social services involved. That means the vulnerable children and youth in the foster care system, both in Texas and across the nation, are getting disproportionately targeted – and are at an exponentially increased risk of becoming victims of trafficking. CASA programs are strongly encouraged to attend and learn ways to protect the children and youth they serve.

CLE and CEU credit will be offered. Contact with any questions.
