FREE Volunteer Coaching & Advocacy Trainings

Texas CASA is excited to announce we are hosting four Volunteer Coaching and Advocacy Trainings this summer. These free, one-day trainings are open to all Advocate Supervisors, Program Directors, Executive Directors and anyone who works directly with advocates.

Participants will receive tools and resources to advance advocacy and discuss best practices in coaching volunteers, time management and more. Former attorney and foster parent D’Ann Johnson will also guide us through the duties of a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) and discuss common questions related to the Texas Family Code and our legal role. We are looking forward to this designated time to deepen our understanding and evolve our practices of the most important work we do: serving advocates who make a difference for vulnerable children.

We recommend registering as soon as possible, as seats are limited. All trainings are open to all CASA programs. Please also note that you will find the address of the training location on the top of the registration form. All trainings are from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
