Building resilience within oneself, within an organization, and coping with leadership fatigue are important tools. The Texas Center for Child and Family Studies is hosting 13 free trainings that focus on leadership resilience and emergency preparedness. Using principles from post-traumatic growth and positive psychology—and other resilience focused modalities—this in-person training will be delivered throughout the Harvey-impacted regions and will help organizational leaders learn to develop resilience within themselves, take those lessons and ready staff for coping with organizational trauma, and offer strategies for helping leaders and staff navigate compassion fatigue while leading communities through devastating events.
