Nothing is more important than the safety and health of the CASA network, so we are bringing our fourth and last Volunteer Coaching & Advocacy Regional Training for 2020 to your screens! The Volunteer Coaching & Advocacy (VCA) team is going virtual with Model, Practice, Apply & Repeat — our training specifically created for program staff who work directly with advocates.
This virtual training will consist of four 3-hour sessions taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays for two weeks.
Session topics include:
- Effective preparation for testifying
- Best interest
- Case study activities
- Advocacy guided by Minimum Level of Sufficient care (MSL)
- Values, bias and MSL
The training will be a mix of live stream and watch-on-demand. You will have many opportunities to engage with your network peers from the comfort of your home or office – and since it’s virtual, it’s open to all staff across the state who work directly with advocates. Capacity is limited!
All sessions are from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Central time.
- Session 1 | Tuesday, Aug. 11
- Session 2 | Thursday, Aug. 13
- Session 3 | Tuesday, Aug. 18
- Session 4 | Thursday, Aug. 20
