Talking Points Around Disproportionality, Disparities & Commitment to Racial Justice

At Texas CASA, we believe that the strength of the CASA movement is in finding the common values we share, and our commitment to advocate for the best interest of all of the children we serve.
With a disproportionately high number of these children and their families being people of color, it is important to be aware of the unique issues they face and commit to continued learning and growth, both individually and as an organization.

To help your program meaningfully address this issue, we’ve created a document with talking points and key statistics around disproportionality in child welfare, CASA’s role in equitable advocacy and uplifting justice, and our commitment to recruiting volunteers who reflect the diversity of the children and families we serve.
