Texas CASA Welcomes Program Specialist Michelle Cobern

We’re excited to welcome Michelle Cobern as our new Program Specialist! She will be working with the Program Operations team to provide onsite reviews, training and technical assistance to local CASA programs to help ensure the most effective advocacy and program operations possible.

Michelle began her journey with CASA in February 2011 at Lake Country CASA as a County Supervisor. In September 2013, she worked with Judges and Texas CASA to form CASA of Titus, Camp and Morris Counties, the 71st program in the state of Texas. She was hired and served as the Executive Director for the past 7 years.

In 2016, Michelle applied for and received a Canine Companions for Independence Dog, Enya II.  Enya is the first Court House Facility Dog for CASA programs in the state of Texas. Michelle and Enya continue to work with Court House Dogs International to assist other programs in applying for a dog to work with and provide comfort for children in the foster care system.

Join us in welcoming Michelle to the Texas CASA team!
