The 87th Legislature convenes on Jan. 12 with the plan of spending the next 140 days hearing and passing bills – and most importantly, passing the state budget for the 2022-2023 biennium. We’re not letting the pandemic get in the way of CASA having a strong presence for the children and families we serve!
Be sure to mark your calendars for virtual CASA Day at the Capitol!
This legislative session, CASA Day at the Capitol will be a two-day, online-only event on Feb. 16-17, 2021. On Feb. 16, we will host a training webinar where we provide updates and prepare for legislative visits. Feb. 17 will be the official CASA Day at the Capitol, with a live, online welcome and resolution reading in the morning, and virtual legislative visits and social media updates throughout the day. In addition, Texas CASA will be providing Zoom backgrounds and frames to use on social media to raise awareness about the work of CASA in Texas.
Check out the full agenda, get more information and register on our Capitol Day webpage.
