Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by last week’s weather, as well as the power and water outages. We encourage everyone to first and foremost take care of themselves, their family, friends and community.
We understand that many who had planned to participate in virtual CASA Day at the Capitol on Feb. 16-17 were not able to, and that legislative meetings have been rescheduled. In addition, the resolutions for CASA Day at the Capitol have been postponed.
Even though CASA Day at the Capitol did not go the way any of us expected, we can still make an impact and ensure CASA’s voice is heard! If you are able, below are some ways you can still participate in CASA Day at the Capitol in the coming days.
- Watch the Feb. 16 training webinar and our welcome message from Texas CASA CEO Vicki Spriggs if you missed them,
- Continue to make CASA’s presence known statewide by using our Capitol Day Zoom backgrounds, Facebook frames and social media toolkit, and
- Reschedule your meetings with your legislators and share the information with our Public Policy team at publicpolicy@texascasa.org.
Everything you need to participate in Capitol Day is available on the event webpage.
We hope you are safe, well and warm. Thank you for your dedication to CASA and the children and families we serve!
Thank you to our CASA Day at the Capitol sponsor!
