Meeting Health Needs of Youth in Foster Care! Overcoming Barriers to Vaccination for Persons with Disabilities

Join us on Sept. 16, 2021, at 12 p.m. (CT) for a webinar discussion of the TPIA – Vaccine Access Initiative and how CASA can assist children in foster care with disabilities in accessing COVID-19 vaccines.

In the webinar, Texas CASA will be joined by Sean Jackson, Supervising Attorney of Community Integration and Healthcare for Disability Rights Texas, to discuss why vaccines are currently not easily accessible for this population and what CASA can do to help. Many of these children may need unique plans for vaccination. For example, at one point, Disability Rights Texas arranged for the local health department to visit and vaccinate youth in an RTC who were in need.

No registration is required. Use the link below to join the webinar on Sept. 16 at 12 p.m. (CT).
