Conversations with CASA – Empowering CASA Advocacy for Older Youth & Young Adults

“Just keep showing up and reminding them that they matter—that their dreams, their desires matter, that their futures matter. Just keep telling them, again and again and again, until they believe it; until they own it. And then, when they do, keep telling them!”

This month, Texas CASA CEO Vicki Spriggs chats with Aly Ferrante, Advocacy Specialist Team Leader & WINGS Team Lead with Child Advocates of Fort Bend. The WINGS Program, which serves youth ages 14 – 18+, focuses on helping young people acquire life skills, plan and achieve educational goals, develop a transitional living plan, and create a support system of positive adults outside of the foster care system.
