Data reflects that 15-20% of children entering the foster care system have, or have had, an incarcerated parent. The consequences for these children are profound and complicated. Please join the VCA team on April 25 to explore ways to engage with incarcerated parents and how to best advocate for their children in foster care. Guest speakers from the local programs will share some of their best practices for communicating with incarcerated parents, and the VCA and CFE teams will share many resources available to CASA volunteers to increase and improve fierce advocacy for these children.
This VCA Zoom is for CASA staff and will be recorded and shared with the programs at a later date to be used for volunteer continuing education.
