At times your CASA program’s interactions with the local court, counsel, DA and DFPS may feel as if they are guided less by law and more by local practices, therefore, knowing how your legal role is defined in the Family Code can make a big difference in how you navigate through the legal system. Please join the VCA team for our first monthly Zoom of FY 2023 focused on the legal powers and responsibilities of the CASA/GAL role. We will also have a refresher on the Best Interest of the Child and Holley Factors.
