CASA College Featured Webinars: Writing Court Reports
Writing court reports is one topic CASA volunteers consistently put at the top of the list of things they want to know more about. Over the last few years, programs in Texas and across the nation have created webinars and other training resources to help address this need.
Texas CASA: In February 2012, Texas CASA hosted Judge Darlene Byrne for a webinar, Judicial Perspective on Court Reports, which covers court reports and the impact they can have.
CASA of Travis County: CASA of Travis County created this handy cheat sheet to help walk volunteers through the steps of writing a court report, complete with instructions and examples.
CASA of Arizona: CASA of Arizona created this easy-to-use, 12-part online training course to give volunteers an overview of what goes into writing a court report.
CASA of Cochise County: CASA of Cochise County in Arizona created this slideshow presentation about writing court reports.
National CASA: Writing court reports is part of pre-service training for all volunteers, and National CASA created the Independent Study Edition (ISE) of their resources for use prior to service or for in-service training. Chapter 9 of the ISE deals specifically with court reports.
