Conversations with CASA – Jasmine Wightman

August is back to school month, and across Texas, students are settling into new classes and possibly new schools with new teachers and classmates. What do CASA volunteers need to know to be the best educational advocate for their CASA kids? CEO Vicki Spriggs talks all things educational advocacy with Jasmine Wightman, Senior Attorney with Texas Association of School Boards.

As a Senior Attorney, Wightman advises school districts on a variety of legal issues. She also frequently presents and writes on school law topics, including governance, accountability, student health, student free speech, and instruction and curriculum.

Conversations with CASA is an online series from Texas CASA that explores current issues and trends affecting child welfare, our children in care and our network.
