The Texas CASA Education and Learning team invites CASA network training staff to come together for a two-day interactive facilitation workshop focused on transformational learning in the CASA classroom.
- Deepen your fluency in creative, participant-centered learning practices;
- expand your canon of powerful stories to illustrate nuanced learning objectives;
- connect with training peers from around the state; and
- learn best practices from one another on leveraging evaluations and other strategies to further strengthen your program’s volunteer pre-service training!
Rural programs: we heard you! Feedback from the network following our last series of train the trainer workshops emphasized the need for more support around covering the full scope of pre-service curriculum for programs with condensed classroom hours. We’ve partnered with experts in instructional design and remote learning to create immersive e-learning modules that creatively replicate seven hours of in-person pre-service training. We’re in the process of converting seven more classroom hours into this easily accessible, interactive online format. This workshop will include a breakout group focused on troubleshooting implementation of this blended learning curriculum.
