We are excited to share some good news about FY 2020 Local Board Officer Development (LBOD) training! The in-person training scheduled for this fiscal year was cancelled due to COVID-19, but is now being offered as a webinar. The webinar must be completed no later than Aug. 31, 2020, by at least one board member to satisfy the funding requirement for the FY 2020 Local Board Officer Development training.
In this webinar, Lauren Paver of Higher Order Consulting discusses how visionary planning during times of disruption can help CASA programs thrive through transformation. The webinar encourages board members to take advantage of this time of “liminal space” to prepare for the future of the program. Also included are suggestions for how local board members can leverage periods of change by providing group discussion activities.
The webinar is about 45 minutes in its entirety. It also allows for 3 breaks to work on the included handouts as a group, should you choose.
In order for your program to meet the requirement, have at least one board member attend the LBOD training webinar by completing the following steps:
- Access the training in the CASA College LMS.
- Log in with your CASA College username and password. If you do not have a username and password, you will need to create one.
- Once you have completed the course, you will receive a certificate. Email your certificate to Liaison for Director and Board Development Celeste Prather at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your commitment to your program and the children and families you serve.
