On Friday, Feb. 26, and Monday, March 1, Chief Public Policy Officer Andy Homer testified before the Senate Finance and House Appropriations subcommittees on Article Two. Texas CASA advocated for an increase of $2.25 million in annual legislative funding under the Health and Human Services Commission in order to meet the growing needs of CASA programs statewide. Texas CASA also testified in support of continued legislative funding in Family Finding/Collaborative Family Engagement under the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) for the next biennium.
