CASA ACT Toolkits Sent to Local Programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Texas CASA is pleased to have released the ACT Toolkit at the Texas CASA Conference in October.&nbsp;Local programs received two toolkits each for use by their programs, with the goal of being equipped and ready to go for implementing CASA ACT at the local level.&nbsp;CASA ACT (Anti-Child Trafficking) is a survivor centered advocacy approach and a program plan to best support these practices, and to best be active community partners with others in the anti-child trafficking space.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the ACT toolkit are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Two outcry resources (a trifold and a postcard), for a quick reference on what to do if a young person discloses that they were trafficked or exploited<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CASA ACT Program Guide, which outlines the four stages of program implementation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CSE-IT Guide, which explains this screening tool and how to best use it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Care Coordination Resource Guide, which provides an overview of the care coordination teams and CAC multi-disciplinary teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You\u2019ve Got Support mini trifold, a handout\/card to be given to teenagers with important phone numbers of support agencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Volunteer Guide, a manual outlining lots of information regarding advocacy for youth affected by sex trafficking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When Silence Ends, a collection of short stories and art from survivors, which is a very informative resource about different types (and impacts) of trafficking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These toolkits and many of the resources within them, were only made possible with the support of a grant from the Office of the Governor in FY24.\u00a0If your
