The Texas Institute for Child and Family Wellbeing (UT-Austin), in collaboration with UT Arlington and UT San Antonio, is hosting virtual focus groups between April and June 2025 to gather feedback on Community-Based Care (CBC) in Regions 1, 2, 3W, and 8B. This is a critical opportunity for those directly involved in or impacted by CBC to share their experiences \u2014 especially legal professionals and judges, whose insights are essential to understanding what’s working and what\u2019s not. Focus groups will last approximately 1.5 hours<\/strong> and participants will receive a $25 e-gift card <\/strong>that may be redeemed for a variety of stores (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Visa gift card).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please share this opportunity with your networks and encourage outreach to judges and AALs.<\/strong> Many judges have expressed concerns about CBC, and this is a key chance for them to be heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who can participate?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stakeholders including case management supervisors, legal professionals (attorneys and judges), community providers, caregivers, and young adults with foster care experience in the last 5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
