Since 2016, the Children\u2019s Commission and the Office of Court Administration have partnered to host a service that provides hearing notice to court participants (i.e., attorneys, DFPS\/SSCC personnel, CASA, parents, and caregivers) involved in cases handled by Texas Child Protection Courts. As of January 2025, the Child Protection Courts<\/a> preside over child welfare cases in 148 counties throughout Texas. Any person associated with a case in one of these counties can receive notification of hearings by email at 1, 3, 7, 14, and\/or 30 days in advance of any scheduled hearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inscripci\u00f3n<\/a>\u00a0for the hearing notification service is quick, easy, and free. Once a user ID is created, the user can search the Child Protection Court\u2019s docketing system for their case and\u00a0sign up according to the\u00a0instructions<\/a>\u00a0provided. The search results will display a summary of upcoming hearing dates as well as a summary of all open cases, regardless of whether a hearing is scheduled or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following registration, users can reference the User Guide<\/a> for detailed instructions on how to receive e-notifications. The Children\u2019s Commission may periodically contact users to assess the usefulness of the tool. Please report any difficulties setting up a user profile or using the tool by sending an email to children@txcourts.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
