While trudging to class in snowstorms, she earned her bachelor\u2019s degree in advertising from Iowa State University and has built a career in marketing focused on supporting and uplifting underserved communities.<\/em> <em>Outside of work, you\u2019ll usually find her outdoors running, hiking, cycling or kayaking. In my&nbsp;previous roles, I&#8217;ve been able to use my marketing and communication skills to help grow organizations and connect communities to valuable resources, which are things I hope I bring to CASA. I was first introduced to CASA through a former Texas CASA employee, and I was immediately struck by the passion, compassion and expertise that every staff member brings to the work. Those experiences have reinforced my belief that empathy, truly stepping outside of your own perspective to understand and support someone else, is more important than ever. I have never encountered a more compassionate, dedicated and knowledgeable group of individuals, all united by a shared commitment to making the world a better place. Secondly, I\u2019m grateful for the opportunity to support those who work directly with families and volunteers, the true heart of the CASA mission. I\u2019m always looking for ways to make their roles more efficient, effective and impactful.
