The media alert is centered on how CASA supports the mental health needs of children and youth in foster care. Pitch ideas include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Training \u2014 How CASA Volunteers take a trauma-informed approach to advocacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet a Volunteer who showed up for a child with higher mental health needs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>State\u00a0of Child Welfare in Texas (Texas\u00a0CASA\u00a0is available for interviews in person or virtually, based on location.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reuniones con legisladores<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We recently shared the\u00a0<strong>CASA Story Program Strategy Legislative Matrix<\/strong> with local program EDs, which includes our recommendations for spring outreach by program and information about legislators for each program\/service area and legislators shared by CASA programs. Please reach out to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:publicpolicy@texascasa.org\">publicpolicy@texascasa.org<\/a>\u00a0if you would like access to the matrix or with any questions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you meet and engage with legislators, please&nbsp;be sure to complete the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/Q5BNBJF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Legislative Visit Feedback Form<\/strong><\/a><strong>.&nbsp;<\/strong>This&nbsp;helps our team track outreach efforts,&nbsp;identify&nbsp;follow-up opportunities, and better coordinate statewide advocacy strategy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pr\u00f3ximos eventos<\/strong><br>The Public Policy team will hold office hours this month to review and answer any questions about the Legislative Matrix.
