DESCRIPTION:This month’s STAR Zoom will be on Monday\, May 19th\, due to the Memorial Day holiday. All CASA staff are invited to attend this important training and refresher on reporting child abuse in Texas. This presentation will provide basic training on recognizing and reporting abuse of children. Attendees will gain insight into the reporting process\, common reporting concerns and prevention strategies for supporting families.  \n\n\n\nOur presenter is:Candace B. Mosley\, MSISFBCE SpecialistFaith-Based and Community Engagement \n\n\n\nCandace Mosley currently serves as the Faith-Based and Community Engagement Specialist\, supporting Statewide Intake. In this role\, she works to build partnerships and educate communities on the importance of child protection and mandatory reporting. Prior to this position\, Candace worked at Statewide Intake as both an Intake Specialist and a Supervisor\, gaining extensive experience in frontline response and leadership. She is passionate about the work she does\, finding it deeply meaningful and impactful. Candace lives by the quote\, “Every child is one caring adult away from being a success story.”
