Outcome studies of youth that have aged out of the system illustrate a strong need for fierce advocates for children in PMC. Too often, volunteer advocates are prepared from pre-service training for TMC case advocacy, but not for PMC cases. In this training, Texas CASA will facilitate sharing and development of advocacy strategies, activities and volunteer training and engagement for PMC cases. It will focus on ways to address a child’s well-being with continued urgent work toward permanency for PMC cases.
