Join us at the Texas State Capitol for the 2019 CASA Day at the Capitol on Feb. 5!
CASA Day at the Capitol is the day advocates join together, in a shared voice, to advocate for Texas children! Hundreds of CASA advocates from all over the state will fill the State Capitol to share their personal stories of advocacy and discuss legislation that can impact the lives of children. Wear your CASA blue and help us amp up our CASA advocacy!
Registration closed on January 22. CASA Day at the Capitol is free for all members of the CASA network; however, attendees have the option to purchase a lunch for $3 per person and t-shirt for $5 during the online registration process. Texas CASA boxed lunches and t-shirts will not be available for purchase on site.

The House convenes at 9:30 AM and the Senate convenes at 10:00 AM. Attendees can attend one or both of the Capitol Resolutions.

Meals Included
Breakfast | Breakfast and coffee will be available from 8:00 – 9:00 am.
Lunch | Boxed lunches are available to pre-order during online registration. If you do not purchase a boxed lunch, you can purchase a lunch at the Capitol Grill onsite.
Parking
Public parking is available in the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage. Street parking is also available.
Attire
Business casual. You’re also encouraged to show your CASA Spirit by wearing your best “CASA Blue”!

Legislative Visits
Each program should designate a Capitol Day Lead who should schedule office visits with your program’s legislators. Programs which share legislators should coordinate office visits to avoid duplicate visits. Once office visits are scheduled, your Capitol Day Lead should email Texas CASA Legislative Advocacy Coordinator Ann Strauser Palmer at apalmer@texascasa.org and inform her of your program’s office visit schedule.
