Educational Advocacy Resources
Educational Advocacy Guidebook
Texas CASA’s Educational Advocacy Guidebook is designed to provide CASA volunteers with the knowledge and tools needed to identify education-related challenges experienced by the children they serve and to advocate effectively to overcome them. It examines how the school and child welfare systems intersect and provides you with the information and tools to help you make a difference in your CASA child’s education.
The Second Edition of the Educational Advocacy Guidebook – which was updated in 2018 to reflect legislative and policy changes that have happened since its initial release in 2015 – is available for download below.
Educational Advocacy Pocket Guide
In addition to the Educational Advocacy Guidebook, this tri-fold pocket guide fits conveniently in a wallet and provides volunteers a quick and handy resource when advocating for the educational needs of a child.
Samples from Texas CASA were printed on satin 80lb text paper with a UV coating, and tri-folded. Downloadable version contains bleeds.
