Online Core Advocacy Skills Training (OCAST) Demonstrates the Foster Care Process
Texas CASA created an interactive e-learning course, Online Core Advocacy Skills Training (OCAST), to illustrate everything that happens when a child comes to the attention of CPS. The course contains six modules, which each take one to two hours to complete. This course is recommended for all CASA staff, volunteers, board members and other stakeholders to help them form a deeper understanding of the foster care process and the role of the CASA volunteer.
OCAST is hosted by Texas CASA on the CASA College Learning Management System (LMS).
- If you would like to begin OCAST but have not yet logged in to the CASA College LMS, begin by creating a new user account. This is a one-time process to set up your username and password.
- If you’ve already created an account in the system, you can continue your e-learning experience and start OCAST by accessing and logging in to your account here.
If you have questions about OCAST’s curriculum, please contact Program Operations at firstname.lastname@example.org.
