Understanding Changes to Medical Health Care Enacted in the 85th Legislative Session for Foster Children

Texas CASA, along with some of our child welfare advocacy partners, created a series of videos to break down some of the laws passed during the 85th Legislative Session – focusing on the most important issue areas impacting foster children and youth. Over the next few weeks, we will be introducing different videos to help you better understand these changes and how they will impact your advocacy as a CASA staff or volunteer.

The first of these videos features Will Francis, Government Relations Director for the National Association of Social Workers/Texas Chapter, explaining changes to medical health care for children and youth in foster care.

For more information on changes to medical health care for children and youth in foster care, please contact the Texas CASA Public Policy team at publicpolicy@texascasa.org.
