Advocacy Actions*
*CASA volunteers advocate continuously in the areas of child safety, well-being and connections for children. Advocacy Actions include face-to-face visits with children in their placements, visits with families and caretakers, contact with teachers and service providers and regular communication with courts, caseworkers and attorneys.
My favorite moment was watching the child I serve be told she was going home to her loving mother after years of being apart. After a long journey, a true story of forgiveness and unconditional love in the heart of a child that most adults are not willing or capable of.
