Raise the Room: A Workshop for CASA Pre-Service Facilitators
Texas CASA is thrilled to be partnering with seasoned facilitator Eva Jo Meyers on a skill-building workshop for pre-service training facilitators, Let’s Raise the Room! If you are excited about creating more engaging and inclusive training for your CASA volunteers, this session is for you. Knowing how to “raise the room” through creating braver and more participatory learning environments is a skill that can be developed. Join us on Thursday, July 20th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to talk about how! This session will give you the opportunity to share and learn from each other, and will model the practices that we will be discussing.
About the facilitator: Eva Jo Meyers is the author of “Raise the Room: A Practical Guide to Participant-Centered Facilitation,” and the co-founder of Spark Decks. A seasoned professional facilitator, she provides a wide range of meeting, leadership and learning support – from workshops to retreats, to training-of-trainers, conferences and institutes – for school districts, universities, city agencies and nonprofits across the country.
