We want to hear from you! The Texas CASA Communications team wants to tell stories of your success. If you have an inspiring volunteer or staff story you want to share with the network and general public, simply send us the idea, and we will write the story for you!

Here are the types of stories we would like to share in the upcoming months:

  • October = Domestic Violence Awareness Month – This recognition month was launched nationwide in October 1987 as a way to connect and unite individuals and organizations working on domestic violence issues while raising awareness for those issues. Over the past 30+ years, much progress has been made to support domestic violence victims and survivors, to hold abusers accountable and to create and update legislation to further those goals. We want to share one of your success stories!
  • October = Down Syndrome Awareness Month – This month is a time to celebrate people with Down syndrome and make others aware of their abilities and accomplishments. We would like to share a story about a volunteer or staff member who made a positive impact on a child, youth or family member with Down syndrome.
  • Hispanic Heritage Month – Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. We want to share a success story about a volunteer, staff member or family served by CASA with Hispanic heritage.
