Public Policy Tour of Texas – Post Session Trainings
The Texas CASA Public Policy team is gearing up for a webinar and several in-person regional training sessions this fall detailing legislative changes and impacts on the CASA Network following the 88th Legislative Session.
The team will begin their Tour of Texas by hosting an 88th Legislative Wrap-Up Webinar available to the CASA Network on August 25th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. If you are interested in attending this webinar, please regístrese en in advance.
Fall 2023 Regional Training Schedule:
Webinar: August 25 – 11:30am to 1:30pm
Conroe: August 31 – 11am to 2pm
Tyler: September 21 – 11am to 2pm
Dallas: September 22 – 10am to 1pm
Abilene: September 27 – 11am to 2pm
San Marcos: October 16 – 10am to 1pm
Lubbock: October 27 – 10am to 1pm
El Paso: November 11 – 9am to noon
Corpus Christi: November 17 – 11am to 2pm
Local CASA program LAT chairs and Executive Directors will receive a personal invitation to attend a training in their area, but if you plan to attend any of the in-person regional trainings, please RSVP by emailing publicpolicy@texascasa.org. You do not have to be a member of a LAT team, nor does your local CASA program have to have a LAT team to attend. This information is applicable to all local CASA programs. Lunch will be provided at each training and you can expect a candid, interactive discussion about key takeaways from this session and how the new laws will impact CASA advocacy.
