CFE Train the Trainer: Application Closes November 25

Texas CASA is excited to offer the second CFE Train the Trainer certification process for staff and volunteers from CASA/CPS/SSCCs! Facilitating your own CFE trainings is an important part of the CFE embedding process, and we are excited to walk alongside you as you integrate CFE into your onboarding for new staff, pre-service training for volunteers, ongoing trainings and other training opportunities. The first step in this process is to review the requirements below. If you are able to meet all of the requirements and have approval from your supervisor, please complete the online application by November 25, 2024.

You will be notified the week of December 16, on the status of your application.

The requirements are: 

• Confirm your involvement by January 10, 2025. 
  
• Attend a virtual cohort connect time on January 30, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. CT (OPTIONAL) 
  
• If not previously completed, complete the CFE E-Learning by February 20, 2025. 
  
• Attend the entire three-hour virtual CFE Training on February 20, 2025, and: 

• Complete and submit an observation form to the Texas CASA CFE Team by March 6, 2025. 

• Read ‘Raise the Room: A Practical Guide to Participant-Centered Facilitation’ before the facilitator workshop on March 26, 2025. If selected, a copy of this book will be sent to you. 
  
• Attend the in-person facilitator workshop in Austin on March 26, 2025 (all day). (Travel costs are not included, lunch will be provided.): 

• Actively engage and participate in the supportive, strengths-based facilitator workshop on March 26, 2025 for facilitation practice among peers focused on appreciative and constructive feedback. 

• Present for 10-15 minutes about an element/component of CFE during the facilitator workshop on March 26, 2025. More information about this to come including everything you need to prepare for the presentation. (A time will be offered virtually on March 13, 2025 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. CT to come ask any questions, etc. re: this requirement. Your attendance for this is optional.) 
  
• Sign up for and attend a virtual 30-minute 1:1 coaching session with a member of the Texas CASA CFE Team by April 30, 2025.
