Leadership Team & Public Policy Tour of Texas Recap
This past September and October, Texas CASA’s Leadership and Public Policy teams traveled across the state to provide eight post-session trainings, which included general updates and conversations about the future of CASA in Texas. These regional in-person sessions provided CASA program volunteers, staff and board members with a deep dive into the new laws passed during the 89th Legislative Session, and gave local CASA program leaders a chance to catch up with the Leadership team from Texas CASA.
For a full recap of the 89th Legislative Session, check out the Texas CASA Public Policy webpage aquí. This page highlights key outcomes, funding updates and policy changes that we advocated for during the 89th Legislative Session, and changes to laws that impact the CASA network and the child welfare system.
Thank you to our hosts for generously providing the space for these important meetings. Your support helped us unify the CASA network and strengthen child welfare across the state.
