¿Preguntas sobre tendencias de trata de personas, coordinación de cuidados o defensa de CSEY? ¡Nuestro Equipo ACT está aquí para ayudar!
You may be hearing more about human trafficking as a result of universal screening efforts. As a reminder, universal screening was implemented to help safeguard the safety, well-being, and overall needs of the children and youth we advocate for. Along with this increased awareness, you may also hear more about statewide responses such as care coordination and CSEY (Commercially Sexually Exploited Youth) advocacy. Both care coordination and CSEY advocacy are evidence-based, specialized approaches designed to provide targeted support and resources for youth who have experienced exploitation.
Understanding these systems, protocols, and the reasons behind them can sometimes feel overwhelming. You do not have to navigate this alone! Texas CASA’s ACT consultant is available to help answer questions and provide guidance. To schedule a meeting or learn more, please contact casaacts@texascasa.org. Also, don’t forget we have resources on the ACT portal, including a CSE-IT guidebook, a manual on advocating for youth affected by trafficking, and much more!
