Known for her congenial personality and fierce passion for igniting positive change, Kelly comes to Texas CASA with seven years of experience as a nonprofit professional. Prior to joining Texas CASA, Kelly served as the Development Director of a human service organization where she directed the donor relations and strategy, fundraising events, grants program, volunteer cultivation and outreach, marketing processes and public relations. Kelly comfortably managed a development budget of $860,000 annually with a history of exceeding goals and raising over $1,000,000 in 2021 and 2022. She has a vast amount of experience in grant writing with successfully receiving over $540,000 in grants 2021-2022. Before beginning her career in nonprofit work, Kelly graduated from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi with a BS of Biology. Her senior year of college, Kelly worked for a Marine Mammal Comparative Physiology Lab where she completed a Directed Independent Study. Her work became part of a scientific publication still being used for research today. When Kelly isn’t working on changing the world for the better, she enjoys spending time with her eight-year-old daughter baking cookies, growing eight feet tall sunflowers and snuggling up with her cat, Pumpkin, and dog, Nugget.

Madi Donham is joining Texas CASA from the City of Austin’s Communication and Public Information Office, where she managed cross-departmental communication projects, content creation and assisted with emergency communications. She continues to freelance report on education for the Austin Chronicle.

Madi received two master’s degrees from The University of Texas at Austin, one in journalism and one in global policy studies with a specialization in international migration at the LBJ School of Public Affairs. Before moving back to Austin for graduate school, Madi worked in nonprofit communications in Kampala, Uganda and Washington, D.C. In her free time, she enjoys listening to live music and watching her husband’s many bands perform around Austin. She loves taking her dog Scotti for long walks and shopping for her thrift and vintage store, Nana’s Shoppe, inspired by her grandma.
