Texas CASA Hosts Local Program Directors for Leadership Training
Last month, 19 program directors from 18 local CASA programs came together at the Texas CASA office for a two-day, in-person training focused on leadership, connection and shared learning. Participants had dedicated time to learn from one another, reflect on challenges and draw from the collective wisdom in the room. Many shared that the opportunity to engage with peers was one of the most valuable parts of the experience.
Training topics included leadership, leading with trust and creating felt safety, volunteer onboarding, understanding the volunteer pipeline and the program director’s role and connecting quality advocacy with volunteer retention through a CFE lens. Directors left with new ideas, practical tools and resources to bring back to their programs, all with the shared goal of strengthening advocacy for children and families.
To all the Program Directors who attended, thank you for taking the time to join us for the training at Texas CASA. We truly appreciate your engagement, insights and commitment to strengthening programs that support children and families across Texas. Your leadership and collaboration make a meaningful difference, and we’re grateful for the important work you do every day. We look forward to continuing to learn and partner with you.
